Local Love Lunch
October 4 - 9, 2021
Nearly 21,000 people in Greater Sudbury live in poverty. Many of our neighbours are having to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table, while some families rely on meal programs for their school aged children to get through the day. People of all ages struggle with basic necessities like food and shelter.
The week of October 4th is our opportunity to show our local love and give back to the community while bringing the issue of food insecurity to the table. You can help United Way Centraide North East/Nord-est de l’Ontario reach the goal of providing 1,400 meals to our neighbours in need when you purchase a ticket for United Way’s Local Love Lunch.
For every $15 ticket sold, a meal will be donated to a person living in our community. Meals will be prepared by Apollo Restaurant, J’s Roadhouse Bar & Grill and East Side Mario’s, and delivered safely to our neighbours in need through our partner agencies working in the community.
All proceeds from United Way’s Local Love Lunch will be directed to fund programs in our community.More Details
