Learn how our Community Response Fund is fighting the impacts of COVID-19.
The imagination of a child has limitless potential.
On a Monday they might want to be a doctor. Tuesday, a fireman. Wednesday, maybe a pirate. The power of play is recognized for its effectiveness in helping children develop their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional skills. At a time when 1 in 4 Canadian children are vulnerable in one or more areas of development before entering the first grade, the need for partnerships and targeted approaches is today.
A Proud Partnership
United Way Centraide North East Ontario is proud to partner with the City of Greater Sudbury to bring the Imagine Project to life.
The phased revitalization of 58 playgrounds will benefit children, caregivers, and neighbourhoods across the community of Sudbury. Accessibility, safety, and upgraded equipment will not only promote physical activity, social interactions, self-regulation, and conflict resolution; it will provide our children with a place that promotes free-play — a place to call their own.
