About Christina
Aanii, Boozhoo
Hello my name is Christina Williams, I am Ojibway from the Wikemikoong Unceeded Territory located on Manitoulin Island, and have made my home here in Greater Sudbury for the past eight years.
I am recent graduate from Nipissing University from the Indigenous classroom assistant program and will be continuing my studies into Anishnabemowin Early Childhood Education program in September 2023.
I am currently employed with the N’Swakamok Native Friendship centre, my title is Community action program for children (CAP-C), Indigenous support worker.
My goal is to help children and their families reclaim their Indigenous identity while living in an urban setting. Bringing back the “old ways” of our teachings and traditions.
